BANGALORE COMEDY SCENE

Bangalore is the only city in India with four open mics a week. You can beat the Monday blues by either heading over to Take 5, 100 ft Road Indiranagar or The Local, Kalyan Nagar and if that's not enough we have an open mic nights on every first and third Tuesdays of the month at The Social, Church Street, Wednesday at Urban Solace, Ulsoor and finally Prost, Koramangala every Thursday.

All shows are free entry and start by 8-8.30pm. Remember to reserve your seats as it gets quite crowded! Take 5 takes only pre-registered spots, so be sure to mail in well before the show date to blrcomedyclub@gmail.com

Every once in a while we have paid open-mic competitions / events held either to raise awareness for a social cause or to attract new talent. 

Bangalore, I would say, is the place to be if you want to grow as a comedian. The audience is one of the smartest in the country and there is a constant need to evolve to be relevant.
